About Elcie
Brighton, with its thriving eclectic musical subculture, has proved the perfect environment for twenty-one year old, Brighton born, Elcie to develop her distinctive vocals. After being classically trained as a top soprano and then studying a BA (Hons) degree in professional musicianship at BIMM (Brighton Institute of Modern Music) in which she gained a 2.1, she is now working with a number of musicians (guitarists Lewis Porter, Jake Kahane and DJ/Producer - Gfunk) to create some lovely original music; whilst also developing a repertoire for local acoustic gigs, function gigs and background music at bars/restaturants/casinos.
Growing up, Elcie has taken on a huge range of musical roles, from solos to parts in musical theatre productions around Brighton and Sussex (including the Brighton Dome, Brighton Centre, Komedia, Pavillion Theatre, Hove Town Hall, and Brighton Revolution). Such achievements pay testimony to her versatility, but to each endeavour she has also brought a voice with unmistakable character. She is in the process of working to broaden her experience performing at different venues, doing session work, but ultimately aims to raise her profile and be recognised as a potential upcoming female artist in the music industry!
Elcie (a play on her first name Luisa-Christie) is currently playing acoustic cover sets at gig nights around Brighton and is available for function gigs (both with an acoustic guitarist and with backing tracks) and session work. Please get in touch if there is anything you would like me to get involved with!
